We are seeking an Associate Director, Program Management to join a proprietary program team within Secure Tactical Communications.  The program is chartered with design, development, new product introduction and production ramp for capabilities critical to the protection of data.  In this role, you will lead a cross-functional team tasked with the rapid development and certification of critical capabilities.  You will oversee products requiring accelerated timelines to meet urgent customer needs, and we are seeking a candidate that will lead a team effectively in a high stakes environment.

 The Associate Director, Program Management establishes program milestones, drives solutions to technical and execution challenges, and ensures successful delivery of capability. We are seeking an experienced and motivated leader for a program that could grow to over $1B in sales. 

What You Will Do: 

  • Own full life-cycle program development and critical execution activities 
  • Lead a cross functional team engaging with US Government customers and related customers to deliver on our commitments 
  • Profit and loss responsibility for both internally and externally funded efforts 
  • Manages the lifecycle, cost, schedule and performance of large and/or complex programs 
  • Travel requirements up to 25% 

Qualifications You Must Have: 

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Experience leading development programs and solving complex challenges 
  • Experience working with U.S. Department of War (DoW) customers 
  • Located or willing to relocate to Cedar Rapids, IA 

Qualifications We Prefer: 

  • Experience briefing senior leadership and external customers 
  • Experience leading cross functional teams to meet customer commitments and delight our customers

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
