Standard Job Description
Will join the Tactical Missile Advanced Program directorate Program Management team in the design and development of tactical missiles in the delivery of adaptable, upgradeable systems for penetrating, survivable Fires Capabilities, capitalizing on internal investments to rapidly address warfighter gaps and expand cross-domains, and demonstrating fieldable prototype capabilities to reduce risk / shape pursuits.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Program Management Manager you will be responsible for leading end-to-end program execution, from concept through development, demonstration, and transition to production.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Managing the evolution or maturing critical technologies and their insertion into the tactical missiles line of businesses.
  • Managing of all aspects of programs from their inception through development and maturing through demonstration for readiness of system in handing off to the line of business for transition to production.
  • Program derivation, capture, and execution of TMAP missile development projects.
  • Cost, schedule and technical performance of the projects / programs they manage and coordination with all the functions (engineering, finance, global supply chain, manufacturing, etc), other Advanced Program directorates, and the Tactical Missiles line of business areas.
  • Negotiation of contract and contract changes, coordinating the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract and the overall technical approach and schedule to meet overall project objectives.
  • Act as the primary interface with the customers and business development personnel to ensure constant and superior relations with warfighter or customer entity.
  • Responsible for establishing milestones and monitoring adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
  • 5+ years of direct program/project management experience or 8-10+ years within an engineering, manufacturing, or defense environment.
  • Ability to obtain and hold a US Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance.
  • Extensive background in program or engineering project management, cost-type contract execution, and large-scale development programs.
  • Exceptional cross-functional team-building skills, stakeholder alignment, and the capacity to direct integrated teams with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills tailored for executive and military customer presentations

Desired Skills
  • Master's degree from an accredited college / university in related discipline
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Practical expertise in Program Performance Management (PPM) and Earned Value Management (EVM) as a certified Cost Account Manager (CAM) or PM
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale development, production, or software deployment contracts, drive proposal development, and handle risk/opportunity mitigation.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $148300.00 - $275500.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
