Job Overview

The Principal, Program Management is responsible for planning, executing, and driving strategic programs with the working team to meet milestones and deliverables in support of Supply Chain Strategy. The role works cross-functionally with supply chain, technology, finance, and other departments to ensure alignment, collaboration, execution, and results. This position requires the ability to influence leaders inside and outside of the Supply Chain organization while maintaining a global perspective of impacts on the entire enterprise. The Principal, Program Management manages multiple large projects simultaneously and demonstrates solid problem-solving and decision-making skills. The role reports directly to the Senior Director, Supply Chain Strategy. 

What You Will Do

  • Define desired outcomes, milestones, and timelines to support supply chain strategies in collaboration with the executive sponsor and the working team. 
  • Partner with the executive sponsor and working teams to ensure deadlines are met and projects are completed. 
  • Develop partnerships with senior leadership (VPs, SVPs, and above) to understand network needs, present recommendations for change, and provide regular project updates. 
  • Lead working meetings with key stakeholders, subject matter experts, and the working team to drive decision-making, create solutions, and facilitate risk mitigation. 
  • Develop and maintain progress reports, technology requirements documentation, and presentations. 
  • Interface with technology and business partners to clearly define business/system requirements, address open items, and ensure progress toward milestones. 
  • Build, develop, and grow business relationships critical to the project across the organization. 
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities. 
  • Collaborate with other Program Managers to ensure coordination and knowledge sharing across supply chain program focuses. 

Skills You Will Need

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven track record of working cross-functionally with departments such as supply chain, technology, finance, and others to ensure alignment and collaboration. 

Leadership and Influence: Strong leadership profile with the ability to influence leaders inside and outside of the Supply Chain organization and provide strategic direction to a team of professionals. 

Project Management: Experience in managing multiple large projects simultaneously, developing progress reports, and maintaining documentation and presentations. 

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. 

Decision-Making and Problem-Solving: Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to review and lead execution decisions based on statistical reports and data. 

Stakeholder Management: Ability to build, develop, and grow business relationships critical to the project across the organization, and develop partnerships with senior leadership. 

Meeting Facilitation: Capability to lead working meetings with key stakeholders, subject matter experts, and the working team to drive decision-making, create solutions, and facilitate risk mitigation. 

Independent Work: Must be able to work independently and provide strategic direction. 

Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to drive initiatives and achieve desired outcomes. 

Change Management: Strong change management skills to adapt and lead the organization through transitions. 

Analytical Skills: Ability to develop insightful, value-added, and actionable analyses. 

Who You Are

  • Candidates with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 5+ years of program management experience, preferably in Supply Chain. 
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision. 
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
