Location: Puerto Rico. This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered. The ideal candidate will be located near one of the following CGS PR offices: PR-2 km 159 STE 301 Mayaguez, PR or 654 Ave Munoz Rivera San Juan, Puerto Rico. Must be available to travel to different office locations as needed.

Schedule:This position will work a first shift, Monday through Friday. Additional hours, including weekends or holidays, may be required based on operational needs.

Carelon Global Solutions (CGS), a fully owned subsidiary of Elevance Health, is a healthcare solutions company that is simplifying complex operational processes to improve the health of the healthcare system.

Our Puerto Rico location operates a bilingual Spanish and English call center, providing clear and precise answers to customer queries.

The Director Technology & Facilities is responsible for strategic oversight and delivery of enterprise application and system solutions for client group, business unit or corporate department and oversees Carelon Global Solutions PR facilities. This role is also responsible for utilizing various customer technology platforms, directing multiple work functions or major projects/programs with broad scope and strategic business impact for CGS Puerto Rico.

How You Will Make an Impact

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Strategically plans, analyzes, and executes IT functional plans, business value analysis, creation of executive level communications to ensure growth and performance aligns with the organization's strategic intent, business strategy and direction.

  • Partners with other peer leaders from Business, Technology, Data, IT Architecture and Digital areas to support and further the maturity of business capability and value streams.

  • This role has a significant impact on Business and Tech strategies to ensure the team is working as one integrated organization and assists to integrate the efforts across all functional areas of the business.

  • Maintains governance and oversight of IT functions for the division e.g., delivery governance, quality governance, Program management, Portfolio governance.

  • Oversees Carelon Global Solutions PR facilities including all maintenance operations.

  • Facilitates landlord contracts and permits including changes and/or evaluations of future CGS facilities and enhancements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 5 years of IT experience including at least 3 years management experience in the area of function being managed; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Fully Bilingual (English & Spanish). Must be able to write, read and speak both languages in a proficiency level.

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a supervisory role in a call center environment is highly preferred.

  • Previous experience in the healthcare industry preferred as well as facilities management.
