About This Role

The Director of Procurement is a strategic and operational leader responsible for enterprise-wide sourcing, contracting, and supplier management across Geronimo Power’s development, construction, and operations portfolio.

This role drives value creation through disciplined procurement strategies, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and strong supplier partnerships—ensuring on-time project delivery and alignment with company growth objectives in renewable energy and powered infrastructure development.

Responsibilities

Strategic Procurement Leadership

  • Lead enterprise procurement strategy across EPC, major equipment, and indirect spend categories
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, schedule, and risk
  • Partner with senior leadership to align procurement strategy with business objectives and project pipeline

Sourcing, Contracting & Commercial Management

  • Oversee strategic sourcing, RFP/RFQ processes, and supplier selection
  • Negotiate master service agreements, supply contracts, and EPC-related agreements
  • Establish and maintain standardized contract management frameworks and governance
  • Ensure favorable commercial terms, including risk allocation, pricing structures, and performance guarantees

Supplier & Market Management

  • Build and manage relationships with Tier 1 suppliers, EPC contractors, and logistics partners
  • Monitor market trends (pricing, tariffs, supply constraints) and proactively adjust strategies
  • Evaluate supplier performance and drive continuous improvement across quality, service, and cost

Project & Operations Integration

  • Partner cross-functionally with Development, Engineering, Construction, Finance, and Asset Management teams
  • Support project delivery through procurement planning, scheduling alignment, and risk identification
  • Lead procurement input into Sales & Operations Planning (SIOP), forecasting, and inventory strategy

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks, including tariff exposure, logistics, and supplier performance
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements
  • Establish contingency plans to ensure continuity of supply and project execution

Process, Systems & Analytics

  • Develop procurement analytics, KPIs, and reporting to support executive decision-making
  • Implement and optimize procurement systems, tools, and data management capabilities
  • Drive best practices in procurement operations, inventory control, and demand planning

Team Leadership

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing procurement team
  • Oversee hiring, training, performance management, and succession planning
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

What You’ll Bring

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or strategic sourcing
  • 7 years of leadership experience managing teams and complex vendor ecosystems
  • Experience in construction, energy, infrastructure, or manufacturing environments strongly preferred

Success in This Role Looks Like

  • Cost savings and value capture vs. budget
  • On-time delivery of critical equipment and services
  • Supplier performance (quality, schedule adherence, responsiveness)
  • Contract compliance and risk mitigation effectiveness
  • Procurement cycle time and sourcing efficiency
  • Forecast accuracy and inventory optimization

What You’ll Get

  • Competitive compensation and performance-based incentives
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Tuition assistance and ongoing professional development
  • Employee assistance program (EAP) and wellness resources
  • Pet insurance and employee discount programs

Pay Range for the posted level: $160,000 – 240,000 plus target annual bonus opportunity of 35%. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and demonstrated market-relevant expertise
