Job Summary
Our Technician have a very important role as they must ensure that all of the vehicles in their fleet of responsibility are always in safe, working order. As a result, our Technician have a strong attention to detail and safety is their number one priority! Therefore, as a Technician you must be able to perform routine and preventative maintenance on all of our vehicles, primarily Ford E350/450 Series gas engine Dual Wheel Micro Buses.
Qualifications
  • High school degree or equivalent required and at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and state/vehicle-specific driver credentials.
  • Minimum of three years' related experience required; five years' experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair: ASE Certification (or equivalent) is strongly preferred as you will be required to perform diagnostics on vehicle Electrical/ Electronic Systems, Heating & Air conditioning, and Engine Performance
  • Must be proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software as well as have the ability to read service and repair manuals.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with very strong attention to detail and initiative.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills as repairs must be done in a timely manner -no cutting corners! Our drivers are carrying precious cargo!
  • Auxilliary AC system (ACT, ACC, Transair) knowledge preferred (training provided)
  • Ford experience strongly preferred.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Successful results of background check, motor vehicle report, drug testing, and any other state-specific requirements.
  • Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
  • Must be able to push, pull, bend, turn, stretch, kneel, squat and pivot to perform repairs and inspections as well as regularly lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversees fleet: Respond to and resolve reports of mechanical or safety concerns, repairs or service needs.
  • Performs routine and preventive maintenance, including but not limited to: Oil changes, Brakes, Rotors, Belts, Hoses, Bulbs.
  • Performs further tests, which may include test driving the vehicle, to ensure repairs are completed correctly.
  • Repairs lights, sensor, AC , exhaust, Lift doors, loading doors
  • Maintains all accurate work order information and repair information into our Fleet Management System (Fleetio)
  • Maintains current and working knowledge of state, federal, and regulatory laws & guidelines related to passenger transport.
  • Validates and addresses driver concerns, visually, by road testing and/or with computer diagnostics.
  • Ensures proper documentation of all work orders including but not limited to: Concern, Cause and Correction.
  • Ensures cleanliness of shop, all tools, and equipment
  • Comply with company policies & procedures, safety and regulatory laws & standards, and effectively manage accident investigations and related reporting.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as changed or assigned at any time.
