Job description

  • Position: Assistant Band Director
  • Position Type: Supervisory Role Marching Band
  • Salary: Stipend
  • Location: High School Site

Qualifications:

  • Certificate verifying completion of the NFHS online "Band Safety" course
  • Certificate verifying completion of the NFHS online "Concussion in Sports What You Need to Know" course
  • Current Certification in CPR or Certificate verifying completion of the NFHS online "CPR and AED training" course
  • Certificate verifying completion of the NFHS online "Heat Illness Prevention" course
  • Content area related degree or approved equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of essential skills, techniques, rules and safety concerns for the Performing Arts Activity to be coached
  • Skill in communicating with all stakeholders
  • Skill in communicating with parents and other Performing Arts professionals
  • General knowledge necessary to adhere to rules set out by ABODA (www. https://www.aboda.org/) and Peoria Unified School District #11

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess or obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Must be able to pass a background clearance check.
  • Registration at National Federation of State High School Associations (https://nfhslearn.com/ ) for training
  • Must establish a sense of comradery among our students through teambuilding, fundraising, service projects, etc.
