SUMMARY:
Within the Real Estate department, the Security team provides physical security, work safety, and emergency management services for NOA personnel and property. Physical Security Specialists posted at P&DC (NOA Warehouse in North Bend) are responsible for the safety of all people at the facility, the security of the building and product, and for shipping operations outside of regular business hours. **Role is full-time, 40hrs per week. Available shifts are Monday-Thursday 5am-3pm / Monday-Friday 6am-2pm / Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm**

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

  • Identify and prioritize physical security and safety needs for personnel and property.
  • Monitor the Physical Security Operations Center using electronic access control, network video, mass notification, and fire detection systems.
  • Respond to urgent and life safety incidents, threats, alarms, suspicious activity, and other incidents or conditions as directed by post orders.
  • Perform duties related to the control, monitoring, and granting of access into controlled areas.
  • Investigate alarms triggered in electronic physical access control and intrusion systems.
  • Manage company access control and identification processes.
  • Investigate and respond to reported suspicious activity.
  • Provide excellent service, customer relations and communications skills in dealing with employees, vendors, visitors, and contractors. Create and maintain an atmosphere that is responsive, courteous, and respect; presents a professional image of Physical Security.
  • Document activities and incidents, retain and share information in compliance with internal company information management standards.
  • Conduct proactive interior and exterior foot and marked vehicle patrols for deterrent and incident response.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage access for shipping carriers in compliance with C-TPAT standards.
  • Participate on committees or work groups as assigned.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 to 5 years of related experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, Specialized training in security procedures or equivalent preferred.
  • Must obtain first aid and CPR/AED certification after hiring.
  • Situational assessment and verbal de-escalation skills through formal training or considerable work experience.
  • Multitasking and communication skills to perform day-to-day activities.
  • Strong verbal and written skills for reporting incidents.
  • High level of attention to detail to detect unusual behavior or potential threats.
  • Consistent and predictable pattern of good attendance and punctuality to maintain shift work
  • Meet physical/functional requirements:
    • Frequent to constant standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods of time.
    • Work site may be warehouse environment with moderate noise level or outside work in all environmental conditions including heat, rain, wind, and snow
    • Carry and utilize two-way radio.
    • Physical mobility and stamina to run, rapidly ascend/descend flight of stairs.
    • Overtime, holiday, and varying shift work may be required
    • Must have valid Driver's License.
    • Ability to work in an environment with moderate levels of stress

This position requires, upon offer, that a pre-employment drug screen be completed due to the safety sensitive nature of the job and/or work environment.
