Job description

ShipMonk isn't just a 3PL — we're the tech-powered growth partner for ecommerce brands, running 12+ owned fulfillment centers across the US, Canada, the UK, and Europe so our merchants can stress less and grow more.

At ShipMonk, we're not just another 3PL. We're a technology-driven company revolutionizing ecommerce fulfillment, with 2,300+ team members across four countries. We're looking for an ambitious Director, Performance Marketing, to lead our digital growth engine.

Our Core Values: Merchant-first. People Make ShipMonk. Own It. Get Sh*t Done. Change the Score.

About the Role

You'll drive ShipMonk's digital media strategy end-to-end — across paid media, SEO/GEO, and conversion rate optimization — in service of brand awareness, customer acquisition, and retention. This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll set the strategy, run the campaigns, and prove the ROI.

What You'll Do

  • Own the performance marketing strategy. Plan and execute across SEM, SEO, paid social, display, TV, and audio.
  • Build full-funnel acquisition campaigns. Establish evergreen programs while constantly testing new audiences, creative, CTAs, channels, and formats.
  • Drive retention and lifecycle marketing. Design programs that maximize engagement, loyalty, and lifetime value, and then iterate based on results.
  • Optimize relentlessly. Run a disciplined test-and-learn practice across channels to maximize ROI at every funnel stage.
  • Own the numbers. Track performance in Google Analytics and GTM, build integrated multi-touch attribution reporting, and translate campaign metrics into insights our business can act on.
  • Manage the budget. Allocate spend for maximum return against revenue targets, and forecast with confidence.
  • Know our audiences. Define and maintain persona and segment definitions, using paid media insights to sharpen targeting across the marketing team.
  • Partner across the business. Align with Product Marketing, Content, Creative, Brand Marketing, Sales, and our customer organization to drive growth together.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years in performance marketing with a proven record of driving growth and ROI across B2C and B2B, including budgets of $1M+.
  • Deep analytics chops. You synthesize data into action with expertise in Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and CRM platforms like Salesforce or HubSpot. Excel/Google Sheets expert.
  • CRO and experimentation experience. A/B testing and platforms like Optimizely or VWO.
  • Brand media buying experience, including video and audio, strongly preferred.
  • Industry fit. Ecommerce or logistics experience preferred. 3PL experience is a big plus.
  • Leadership presence. You build buy-in across diverse stakeholders and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Operational rigor. You use workflow tools (Asana or similar) to keep complex programs on time and stakeholders aligned.
  • Bachelor's degree required (Business, Marketing, Finance, or related); MBA a plus.

Work at ShipMonk

  • Flex Time Off. Take control of your work-life balance
  • 9 Paid Holidays (US)
  • 401k Matching. We invest in your future
  • Merit Reviews. Get rewarded for your work
  • Health Benefits. Comprehensive health, vision, and dental options
  • Referral Program. Get rewarded for bringing in great talent
  • Inclusive Culture. Be yourself and thrive
