Job Duties and Responsibilities

This position will lead acquisition marketing teams within DISH TV for strategy and execution, including Acquisition Strategy, Affiliate Marketing, and Owned Media. You will be a key member of the Marketing leadership team and will be responsible for managing a sizable budget across marketing tactics for optimal acquisition cost and ensuring DISH hits its gross adds targets across our product set (Paid Live, Free, and D2C). To achieve your goals, you will lead and manage a high-performing team to rapidly iterate and optimize media spend and marketing tactics in a dynamic competitive environment.

In this role, you will work directly with various departments across DISH to develop acquisition strategies, monitor and assess performance of your channels, and optimize the media and creative via test and learn. Cross-functional management and leadership, with an ability to work within project teams and across organizations is imperative for success. These teams include but are not limited to DISH TV and DISH Finance, Marketing Analytics, Product, IT, Paid Media, eCommerce and Business Development. In addition, you will work with external partners, including creative and affiliate agencies, to develop new approaches to marketing DISH as well as optimizing existing campaigns. As an active member of the Marketing leadership team, you will be a model for executional excellence, a creative problem- solver, and a respected thought leader who sets the tone of high performance within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the acquisition of DISH subscribers across product lines
  • Develop annual and quarterly media marketing budget for DISH to achieve gross add targets and subscriber acquisition cost goals in conjunction with Finance
  • Continually evaluate spend to drive higher adds at lower costs
  • Lead the deployment and execution of campaigns across tactics including on device, paid digital media, and affiliate
  • Manage and communicate campaign calendar to ensure all partner teams are aligned
  • Develop marketing strategy including target segments, campaign calendar, and offer strategy
  • Create test and learn strategy to optimize existing channels to meet gross add and spend targets
  • Ideate and launch new marketing tactics in our channels to drive incremental adds beyond budget targets
  • Grow the team’s competencies through successful team member recruitment, retention, training and professional development

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year university or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years of experience including 5 years related experience and/or training

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Adept at handling multiple competing priorities and duties in a fast-paced, results driven, changing environment, with minimal daily oversight
  • Proven experience growing subscriber base for streaming or subscription businesses
  • Track record of optimizing profitability of acquisition costs
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to communicate effectively and influence all levels of staff
  • Experience managing large teams of diverse professionals
  • Strong customer and team member orientation
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and retain top talent
  • Ability to travel 20% of time

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $185,000.00/Year - $225,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
