Job Dutiesย 

  • Assist patients pre and post care by the D.C.ย 
  • Take vital signs of patientsย 
  • Perform physical therapy modalities as directed by the D.C.ย ย 
  • Accurately and legibly document modalities performed and subjective patient comments on progress notesย 
  • Maintain cleanliness of exam and treatment rooms at all timesย 
  • Monitor controls on physical therapy equipmentย 
  • Launder towels, gowns, heat pack covers, etc. as requiredย 
  • Maintain inventory and order suppliesย 
  • Assist in general office operations as needed including filing, prepping charts, answering phones, patient registration, posting charges, scanning, cleaning, etc.ย 
  • Travels to other locations as directed to maintain adequate coverage for quality patient careย 
  • Assist in maintaining office in a neat, clean and orderly fashionย 
  • If considered a Floater Certified Chiropractic Assistant (this would be mutually agreed upon), the Employee must travel to all locations within their
    respective region as needed for coverageย 
  • Perform other duties and assignments as directed and/or as necessaryย 
  • Greeting patients and checking patients in and out with proper customer service etiquette.

  • ย Following up with confirmation calls and no-show calls.

  • ย Scanning and uploading paperwork to the EHR, requesting hospital records, faxes, updating spreadsheets, and keeping emails up to date.

  • ย Keeping reception area and patient rooms clean and organized.

  • ย Supports chiropractors by preparing patients for exams, updating medical records, and facilitating communication and documentation workflows in accordance with Utah scope-of-practice guidelines.

  • Coordinates administrative and non-clinical support for chiropractic providers, including patient intake, chart preparation, and follow-up documentation.

  • Assists with the flow of patient care by managing schedules, obtaining prior authorizations, and ensuring chiropractors have complete documentation prior to treatment.

  • Serves as a liaison between chiropractic providers and patients for appointment coordination, documentation, and patient education under provider direction.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Motor Vehicle Report Monitoringย 

In the event Employee does not maintain the insurance coverage required under this Policy & Procedure, and/or does not maintain a valid license to operate a motor vehicle, that Employee shall not be eligible for mileage reimbursement and is barred from operating any motor vehicle in furtherance of Company business. Operating a motor vehicle in furtherance of Company business without a valid state-issued driverโ€™s license to do so and/or maintain insurance of the type and amounts set forth herein shall subject the Employee to immediate disciplinary action up to and including termination.ย ย 


Minimum Requirementsย 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalentย 
  • Spanish is a must


Additional Skills/Competenciesย 

  • Certification in CPR and/or First Aid. Must be maintained throughout employmentย 
  • 1-year experience in an office providing physical therapy and/or chiropractic careย 
  • Tact and skill in patient managementย 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skillsย 
  • Ability to effectively interact with doctors, patients, and co-workersย 


Physical/Mental Requirementsย 

Sitting, standing, walking, reaching above shoulder length, working with body bent over at waist, working in kneeling position, crawling, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, working with arms extended at shoulder length, lifting maximum of 20 lbs.ย
