Becoming a part of Paramount means joining a team of passionate people who not only recognize the power of content but also enjoy a touch of fun and uniqueness. Together, we co-create moments that matter – both for our audiences and our employees – and aim to leave a positive mark on culture.

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands‑on Oracle Fusion PPM Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our Enterprise Solutions team. In this critical role, you will be the ultimate authority on our Oracle Fusion Project and Portfolio Management and its deep integration with the Fixed Assets and Oracle EPM Project Financials Planning modules.

You will lead the functional design, configuration, optimization, and continuous improvement of the Oracle PPM suite. The ideal candidate has expertise in Project Financial Management, including Costing, Billing, and Contracts, and is experienced in Project Financial Planning Management (Budget and Forecast). They also possess knowledge of Capital Projects, such as CIP and Depreciation, and understand how PPM integrates with core Financials, Procurement, and HCM.

Key Responsibilities

System Configuration & Design

  • Act as the lead functional architect and configurator for Oracle Cloud PPM modules, including Project Costing, Billing, Contracts, Control, Management, and Resource Management.
  • Translate complex business requirements from the PMO and Finance teams into scalable, efficient system configurations using the Functional Setup Manager (FSM).
  • Lead the design of Project/Task hierarchies, cost breakdown structures, capitalization rules, and complex project billing/revenue recognition rules.
  • Design and set up the financial planning processes for projects in EPM, covering budget approval, forecasting, and scenario modeling.
  • Manage the configuration of Capital Projects and Fixed Assets, including rules for asset generation, capitalization (CIP), retirement costs, Asset Books, Categories, and Depreciation Methods.

Cross‑Functional Integration

  • Design and troubleshoot critical integrations between PPM and other Oracle Cloud modules, specifically Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA), Procurement (PO, Requisitions), and HCM (Oracle Time & Labor - OTL).
  • Manage the technical and functional data pipeline across the project ecosystem: pushing budgets from EPM to PPM, feeding actuals from PPM back to EPM, and transferring capitalized project costs from PPM to Fixed Assets.
  • Ensure seamless data flow for project‑related expenses, timecards, supplier invoices, and accounting lines.
  • Manage data migrations, mass updates, and project conversions using File‑Based Data Import (FBDI) and ADFdi.

Business Partnership & Advisory

  • Partner closely with project managers, project accountants, and finance leadership to establish best practices for project tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct workshops, gather requirements, identify process bottlenecks, and suggest process improvements using Oracle.
  • Drive user adoption by creating functional documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and delivering targeted training to end‑users.
  • Lead System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements and rollout phases.
  • Evaluate Oracle’s quarterly patch updates, test new PPM features in lower environments, and advise the business on adopting new capabilities to drive efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain custom project reports and dashboards using OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence) and BI Publisher.
Required Qualifications Experience & Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience working with Oracle ERP systems, with a minimum of 3‑5 years specifically focused on Oracle Fusion PPM.
  • Proven track record of acting as the primary functional lead or SME on at least one full‑lifecycle Oracle Cloud PPM implementation.
Technical & Functional Skills
  • Deep, hands‑on configuration expertise across the entire Oracle Fusion PPM suite (Project Financials and Project Execution).
  • Strong understanding of project accounting principles, including revenue recognition, capitalization (CIP), cross‑charge setups, and overhead allocations.
  • Extensive experience with Oracle Subledger Accounting (SLA) as it pertains to project transactions.
  • Proficiency in building reports and dashboards using OTBI and BI Publisher.
  • Familiarity with Agile project methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a keen eye for system dependencies and data integrity.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to articulate complex system mechanics to non‑technical business leaders.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
