Position Summary

The Senior Director of Global Facilities & Site Operations will lead the strategic planning, management, and execution of facilities and real estate operations across all Adtran Holdings, Inc. corporate locations worldwide including all Adtran Subsidiaries. This role ensures that all sites, campuses and offices operate efficiently, safely, and sustainably while supporting the company's business objectives and employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Functional and Team Leadership: Develop and implement a global facilities strategy aligned with corporate goals, including space planning, sustainability initiatives, and cost optimization. Oversee real estate and car fleet portfolio management, including lease negotiations, acquisitions, and dispositions. Lead & motivate a global, multi-site Facilities team.
Operational Excellence: Direct day-to-day operations of global facilities, including long-term maintenance planning, maintenance execution, site security, janitorial services, reception and workplace services. Ensure compliance with local regulations
Health, environment, and safety: Ensure compliance with standards and local legal requirements across all sites.
Campus Operations: Manage large-scale campus operations, including dining, transportation, and amenities programs to support business needs and enhance employee experience. Lead emergency preparedness and business continuity planning for all locations.
Vendor & Budget Management: Establish and manage global vendor relationships for facilities services and construction projects. Develop and oversee annual budgets for facilities and campus operations, ensuring cost efficiency and financial accountability.
Sustainability & Innovation: Drive sustainability initiatives, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, and green building certifications. Implement innovative workplace solutions to support site-based and hybrid work models and evolving business needs.
Corporate Insurance: Manage global insurance program to safeguard the company against financial loss and ensure compliance with risk-related regulations. Partner with brokers to define the organization's risk profile and coordinate the collection of renewal data for key coverages, including property & casualty, liability, workers' compensation, cyber, marine cargo, product recall, travel, and directors & officers.

Operational Efficiency: Percentage reduction in facility operating costs year-over-year; Average response time for critical maintenance issues; Percentage of preventive maintenance tasks completed on schedule.
Space Utilization: Occupancy rate vs. capacity across global sites; Percentage improvement in space utilization efficiency.
Budget Management: Variance between actual spend and approved facilities budget; Cost savings achieved through vendor negotiations and process improvements.
Sustainability & Compliance: Reduction in energy consumption and carbon footprint across all locations; Number of sites achieving green building certifications (e.g., LEED); Compliance audit score for health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Employee Experience: Employee satisfaction scores related to workplace environment and amenities; Percentage of service requests resolved.
Project Delivery: Percentage of capital projects delivered on time and within budget; Average cycle time for office fit-outs or campus expansions.
Risk & Safety: Number of safety incidents per 1,000 employees; Business continuity readiness score for global sites.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience in facilities management in a global organization with facilities on multiple continents, real estate, or corporate operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven track record managing multi-site operations and teams across diverse geographies.
Strong knowledge of building systems, health and safety regulations, and sustainability practices.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills in a multi-site, multi-cultural environment.
Ability to travel internationally as required.
Experience with workplace technology platforms and data-driven decision-making.
Familiarity with LEED or other green building certifications.
Strong project management and negotiation skills.
