Enterprise IT Engineers are responsible for supporting internal customers and clients at Vertafore in their assigned office and through the completion of assigned tickets. This position will directly impact our user’s ability to improve productivity, manage account needs, standardize, and streamline processes

Core Requirements and Responsibilities:

Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:

  • Primarily responsible for installation, configuration, repair, replacement of workstation, other hardware components and software applications

  • Works closely with users to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operation of workstations and all related peripherals

  • Security operations including remediations, virus prevention, user and email risk analysis, vulnerability management and Identity and Access Management

  • Supports local network infrastructure, desk side LAN, Wi-Fi, and hardware changes

  • Supports Executive level issues including PC and Mac (hybrid, remote support)

  • Responsible for Enterprise Core Services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NPS, Imaging, Software Deployment, GPO Management, O365 Management)

  • Server Management including patch oversight, OS upgrades, new builds, DC deployment and decommissioning

  • Implement and support compliance controls and auditing (IAM, Zero Trust, Domain and endpoint hardening)

  • Mobile Device Management and Mobile App Management

  • Performs formal system design bases on IS management methodologies

  • Applies Quality Control and Quality Assurance principles

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to individuals varying various technical ability

  • Writes and maintains complete and concise technical project documentation

  • Presents training presentations on multiple technical levels

  • Familiar with ITIL best practices in time management and project management

  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Understanding of general business issues including external factors that impact business and industry

  • Familiar with endpoint management solutions such as Tanium, Intune, JAMF

  • VDI, AWS and datacenter virtualization and support experience recommended

  • Familiar with MFA solutions and best practices for BYOD (MS Entra, Ping)

  • Experience with Anti-Virus and security response applications such as Symantec, CrowdStrike

  • Ability to provide excellent and timely customer service

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience maintaining and troubleshooting PC and MAC operating systems required (Windows Desktop OS, MacOS, iOS)

  • 3-5 years’ experience with strong user endpoint troubleshooting and resolution

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience troubleshooting network and Wi-Fi issues end to end

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Enterprise Core Services (AD, DNS, DHCP, NPS, Imaging, Software Deployment, GPO Management, PS Scripting a plus)

  • 2 years’ experience with Server OS, VCenter and physical server room infrastructure support

Additional Requirements and Details:

  • Travel required up to 10% of the time.

  • Located and working from an office location.

  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.

  • Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.).

  • Frequent sitting and/or standing.
