Job description

The Vice President of Analytics, Insight, and Data Products will be responsible for the creation of high-value data and actionable insights as well as the deployment of diagnostic and predictive analytical approaches (incl. Mathematical Models, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence). This role will inform product strategy, sales and operations, marketing, and other business decisions that drive results to achieve the targets of Goodyear's Plan. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in data and analytics leadership, a deep understanding of advanced data and analytics techniques, and the ability to foster a data-driven culture across the organization.

Job Duties / Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Data and Platform Oversight

  • Data Infrastructure: Lead the design and implementation of robust data infrastructure to support analytics and business intelligence
  • Database Engineering: Manage database engineering efforts to optimize data storage and retrieval
  • Data Warehousing: Ensure effective data warehousing solutions that support efficient data management and reporting
  • High-Value Data and Actionable Insights Creation: Drive the creation of high-value assets that support strategic decision-making
  • Partner cross-functionally with the Information Technology and Digital Organization

Consumer and Customer Analytics and Insights

  • Customer Data Platforms: Develop and manage customer data platforms to capture and analyze customer behavior and preferences
  • Consumer Segmentation: Oversee consumer segmentation efforts to identify and target key audience segments
  • Trend Identification: Lead efforts to identify consumer trends and behaviors to inform product development and marketing strategies

Key Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Applied Economics, Data Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field; Advanced Degree Preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data, analytics, and insights, with experience leading large, multi-functional teams
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful data and analytics strategies in a global organization
  • Experience in the manufacturing or automotive industry is a plus

Key Skills

  • Expertise in advanced analytics, data science, machine learning, and AI
  • Proficiency with analytics tools and platforms (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Demonstrated ability using Monte Carlo simulations, Real Options, Simulations leveraging a Digital Twin, Causal inference, Bayesian Decision Analysis
  • Strong understanding of data management, data governance, and data architecture
