The Director of Health & Wellness plays a vital leadership role in shaping the quality of care and life within the community. This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of resident care and clinical services, ensuring every resident receives compassionate, personalized, and high-quality support. By maintaining strict compliance with state regulations, company standards, and best clinical practices, the Director helps create a safe and thriving environment. Working collaboratively with leadership, caregivers, residents, and families, this role champions a culture of wellness, dignity, and respect—enhancing the overall health, safety, and well-being of every individual in the community.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a dedicated care team while overseeing all health and wellness programs, including enhanced independent living and memory care
- Ensure high-quality, compliant care through thorough resident assessments and personalized care planning
- Provide clinical oversight, including medication management, documentation, and administration practices
- Supervise, train, and support caregiving staff, medication technicians, and nursing personnel
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacies, hospice providers, and other healthcare partners to support positive outcomes
- Coordinate resident admissions, discharges, and smooth care transitions
- Communicate regularly with residents and families to address care needs and updates
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and compassionate, resident-centered care
- Respond effectively to clinical concerns, incidents, and emergencies as needed
Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – active and in good standing (your clinical foundation is key)
- 2–3 years of nursing leadership experience – senior living or long-term care preferred (you know how to lead with both confidence and compassion)
- Strong knowledge of Enhanced Independent Living and Memory Care
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills – you keep things running smoothly while keeping everyone connected
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment – you can juggle priorities and still keep your sense of humor
- Proficiency in electronic health records and documentation systems – you’re comfortable with the tech that keeps care on track
