Job description

Clement Manor is a faith-based independent living, assisted living, CBRF, and long-term care community, nationally recognized for providing a superior-quality environment for older adults.

We are seeking a passionate and strategic Director of Development to lead and grow our philanthropic efforts, aligning with our mission to provide a continuum of care and foster the highest potential for the well-being of each individual on our campuses and in our communities, guided by the values of respect, collaboration, and quality service. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive fundraising program to strengthen donor relationships, increase philanthropic revenue, and expand community partnerships.

The Director of Development will work closely with the senior leadership team to advance fundraising initiatives and foster a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization. This role will also collaborate with the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charities Ministries (FSCCM) on system-wide philanthropic initiatives that align with the ministries' strategic mission and goals.

This position reports to the President of Clement Manor.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive annual fundraising and philanthropy program.
  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward individual, corporate, foundation, and community donors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective donors to increase engagement and long-term support.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify funding priorities and philanthropic opportunities.
  • Manage donor database/CRM systems, ensuring accurate records, reporting, and donor communications.
  • Track fundraising performance, prepare reports, and analyze donor trends to inform strategy.
  •  Coordinate donor recognition and stewardship activities.
  •  Represent Clement Manor at community events and cultivate partnerships that support organizational growth.
  • Partner with the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charities Ministries on system-wide fundraising initiatives consistent with the organization's strategic plan.
  • Support special events, campaigns, and other development initiatives as assigned.
  • Research, write, and secure grants and corporate sponsors.

Qualifications

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification is preferred.
  • Experience
  •  Minimum of five (5) years of successful fundraising experience in a nonprofit environment.
  • Demonstrated success in donor cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and revenue growth.
  •  Experience managing donor databases and CRM systems.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively across departments.
  • Ability to build fundraising programs.
