Description:

We seek a highly motivated and experienced Director of Admissions to lead our admissions department. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the overall management of the admissions process, collaborating with various stakeholders to develop and execute recruitment strategies, and ensuring the college’s enrollment goals are met.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the admissions team, providing guidance, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with high schools, community organizations, and other relevant stakeholders to increase awareness and interest in the college.
  • Analyze and evaluate market trends, student demographics, and competitive offerings to identify recruitment opportunities and enhance the college's competitiveness.
  • Oversee the admissions process, including reviewing and evaluating applications, transcripts, and other required documents.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop and execute targeted recruitment campaigns and promotional materials.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies related to admissions and student recruitment.
  • Monitor and analyze enrollment data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance the yield and retention rates.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource to prospective students and their families, addressing inquiries, providing accurate information, and guiding them through the admissions process.
  • Prepare and present reports on admissions activities, enrollment trends, and projections to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in basic computer operations, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Must be confident and assertive and can work independently or in a team environment
  • Outstanding verbal and communication skills
  • Must be ethical in all decisions, doing what is best for the student and the school.
  • Minimum of 2 years of successful sales experience in admissions, enrollment management, or a related field within a post-secondary educational institution.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and motivating a team to achieve enrollment goals.
  • In-depth knowledge of enrollment management strategies, admissions processes, and best practices in student recruitment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and build relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful recruitment strategies.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and other relevant admissions software.
  • Strong understanding of student demographics, market trends, and regulatory requirements in the post-secondary education sector.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of individuals and foster a positive and inclusive admissions culture.
