Overview
MB2 Dental, a first-of-its-kind Dental Partnership Organization (DPO) founded in 2007 and based in Carrollton, TX, is actively hiring a Director of Business Development (M&A)! This role will directly support the Vice President and Chief Development Officer in helping the company with its inorganic growth. The ideal candidate for this role will be able to strike a balance between interacting with sellers (dentists) and conducting thorough due diligence and financial analysis on various investment opportunities.
MB2 is a private equity-backed dental partnership organization with over 800 locations in 47 states. MB2 has a trail-blazing dental partnership organization model and is growing nationally by bringing on new dentist partners and their practices. The company typically acquires ~100 dental offices per year. A successful Business Development Director will add value through managing individual transactions in the company's growth pipeline and executing deals from start to finish.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial evaluations of dental practices for both buyout opportunities and joint venture partnerships
  • Interview selling dentists on their long-term goals, business needs, and objectives in the sale of their practice
  • Conduct both initial and confirmatory due diligence
  • Conduct thorough financial statement analysis and data mining of key performance indicators from small businesses' enterprise systems
  • Complete valuation models and prepare board-level presentation materials for investment decisions
  • Complete macro-economic, general industry, and competitive insights research as needed
  • Compose investment memorandums for investment committee decisions
  • Work with third parties, including attorneys and other transaction professionals, on the execution of both buyout transactions and new partnerships
  • Translate complex valuation and business transaction concepts to doctors who do not have a background in such concepts
  • Work with Integration and Operations Teams on pre-close due diligence and preparation for post-close integration of newly acquired dental offices
  • Prospect for new dental practice acquisition targets as needed

Qualifications
  • Must reside in the Dallas-Fort Worth area
  • Bachelor of Art or Science in accounting or finance
  • 2 - 5 years of investment banking, commercial banking, corporate development, or private equity experience
  • Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills are imperative
  • Knowledge of general accepted accounting and finance principles
  • Healthcare transaction experience preferred
  • Ability to see a transaction through from sourcing to close
  • Experience working in fast-paced transaction environment
  • Ability to travel 50%+ is required
