Job Description

Our sports medicine department is a staff of licensed professionals utilizing their education and experience to care for patients with injury, illness or normal aging. The team is looking for a DIRECTOR OF SPORTS MEDICINE to continue with the promotion and growth of the department. The sports medicine department consist of the physical therapy, wound care, occupational therapy, etc.

The ideal candidate would be responsible for planning, directing, controlling, and monitoring all aspects of operation of the Sports Medicine and Therapy Center Department. Aspects include budgeting, purchasing, and interviewing of employees, evaluation of employees, quality improvement. Supervises the administration of care to patients referred to Sports Medicine and Therapy Center by direct and in-direct means. Provides evaluation and treatment to patients. Responsible for completion of written documentation on patient evaluation and treatment.

Qualifications:

Licensure/certification/registration: Must possess a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Physical Therapy. Must have accreditation with national organizations. Must have a license to practice under their profession in the state of Texas or be eligible for one. Must possess a valid and current CPR card.

Experience required: Five years experience as a practicing Physical Therapist with at least two years of supervisory experience. Must have a thorough working knowledge of the accepted practices, procedures and techniques applicable to the practice of PT.
