Responsibilities

  • Directs operations and staff of Finance, including Accounts Receivables, General Ledger, Revenue Audit, and Count Room
  • Develops, implements, and manages operational goals, monitoring performance and profit objectives
  • Oversees scheduling for the department to optimize labor costs, meet staffing needs, and achieve deadlines
  • Prepares, monitors, and ensures adherence to departmental budgets, reporting concerns to Executive Management or General Manager
  • Develops and documents the Accounting System of Internal Control to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Plans and executes efficient accounting and financial reporting systems for internal and external reporting, including SEC, IRS, and state agencies
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements for Accounting System of Internal Controls
  • Creates and maintains internal reporting processes for management decision-making
  • Proposes and implements plans to improve operating efficiency
  • Builds and maintains a qualified team to support financial reporting and internal control compliance
  • Maintains current knowledge of GAAP, SEC, IRS, Department of Revenue, and State Gaming Control Board regulations
  • Ensures regulatory compliance and reports potential issues to Executive Management or General Manager
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters
  • Oversees staff development and training programs for the Finance team
  • Implements employee recognition programs to enhance engagement
  • Evaluates team performance and provides constructive feedback
  • Manages staffing decisions including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, and assigning work
  • Establishes work procedures and streamlines workflow for both departments
  • Oversees employee performance management including coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university; MBA or CPA preferred but not required
  • Minimum of seven years’ experience in Accounting, Audit, or Finance; gaming industry experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word
  • Familiarity with Oracle, Coupa, Salesforce, Oasis, COGNOS, SQL, CRM, CDS, ACES, and other data processing systems preferred
  • Skilled in formal communication and presentations to executive leadership
  • Broad knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience in financial modeling
  • Experience with computer report writing software highly desirable
  • Capable of operating in a highly confidential environment
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills for handling diverse situations
