Role Overview
The Director of Engineering provides technical and people leadership for Everblue's software platforms. This role is responsible for engineering execution, system reliability, and technical direction while partnering closely with product and operations to support business objectives. This role is primarily onsite to support collaboration and execution, with limited flexibility as business needs allow.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the engineering team, including performance management and professional development
  • Set technical direction and oversee architecture, system design, and engineering standards
  • Ensure timely and reliable delivery of software enhancements, features, and fixes
  • Partner with product, project management, and operations to align priorities and timelines
  • Establish best practices for code quality, testing, security, and documentation
  • Manage technical risk, system scalability, and technical debt
  • Support compliance, data integrity, and audit-readiness requirements
  • Oversee incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering leadership or people management roles
