) Position Summary
Meadow Falls Senior Living is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and oversee all clinical operations within our Assisted Living community. The Director of Nursing is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care, maintaining regulatory compliance, supervising nursing staff, and promoting a culture of excellence, safety, and resident-centered care.
The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader with experience in assisted living, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to enhancing the lives of seniors.
Essential Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
  • Oversee daily nursing operations and resident care services.
  • Ensure residents receive quality care in accordance with individualized service plans.
  • Monitor resident health status and coordinate care with physicians, families, pharmacies, and outside providers.
  • Conduct resident assessments and ensure appropriate care planning.
  • Respond to resident, family, and staff concerns related to clinical care.
Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with Ohio Assisted Living regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain readiness for state surveys and inspections.
  • Monitor medication management practices and documentation standards.
  • Review incident reports, falls, infections, and quality improvement initiatives.
Staff Management
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate nursing staff.
  • Develop staff schedules and maintain adequate staffing levels.
  • Provide staff education and competency training.
  • Foster teamwork and a positive work environment.
Quality Assurance & Risk Management
  • Monitor resident outcomes and quality indicators.
  • Conduct clinical audits and performance improvement activities.

Resident & Family Relations
  • Serve as a clinical resource for residents and families.
  • Participate in family meetings and care conferences.

Qualifications
Required
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of assisted living regulations and standards.
  • Strong assessment, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, physicians, and team members.
Preferred
  • Director of Nursing experience in Assisted Living or Long-Term Care.
