Summer Hours: Monday-Thursday 9 AM - 4 PM, Friday 9 AM - 12 PM

Sky Lake Construction is a leading family-owned construction company in North Mississippi that specializes in residential projects. We have a team of dedicated professionals who work collaboratively to deliver high-quality homes to our clients. With our commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service, we have established ourselves as a trusted name in the industry.

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage the financial operations of a growing portfolio of rental properties, including residential flats, houses, and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of accounting, excellent organizational skills, and experience working with property management or real estate accounting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records for residential and commercial rental properties
  • Record and reconcile all rental income and management fees
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable related to rental operations
  • Reconcile security deposit accounts
  • Reconcile commercial property TMI (Taxes, Maintenance, and Insurance) recoveries
  • Work closely with property management staff regarding tenant accounts and property expenses
  • Perform daily accounting tasks such as invoice data entry, journal entries, deposits, and other data entries
  • Ability to multi-task and assist other team members however needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
  • Previous accounting experience required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Accounting Software such as QuickBooks
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as with a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of commercial rental accounting and TMI reconciliations is an asset
