Endurance Energy

Full-time

Job description

About Endurance
Endurance is building the world's first modular subsea geothermal power plants, converting vast thermal resources under the ocean into gigawatts of baseload power. Backed by Founders Fund, Felicis, First Round Capital, and Point72 Ventures, our founding team includes veterans from SpaceX, Helion, and Robinhood. We have completed multiple deep-ocean deployments and are launching a long-term demonstration project this fall. By leveraging modular design, manufacturing scale, efficient drilling, and latent cooling on the seafloor, we are pioneering a new category of energy that outperforms traditional sources on both environmental impact and cost.
What You'll Be Doing
This is not a "fix recruiting" role. We have a high functioning interview process, a team of leaders who show up for hiring, and an ATS that works. What we need is someone who can take all of that and make it scale. You will own the recruiting function and have a seat at the table for, culture, compensation, and organizational design as we grow from 20 to 100 people across multiple geographies. Eventually you will hire and manage a team, but the first season of work will be as an IC. You will also have a seat at the table for how we build our internal culture.
Responsibilities
  • Own the entire recruiting function: recruiting, onboarding, performance, compensation
  • Scale our hiring process to support 20+ hires this year across hardware engineering, business, and manufacturing roles
  • Build and manage the recruiting team, including external firms and an internal team
  • Lead the people strategy for new site buildouts
  • Partner with the executive team on culture, employer brand, and internal communications
  • Own all recruiting operations infrastructure and vendor relationships
Qualifications
  • 4+ years in a recruiting leadership role, ideally at a hardware, aerospace, or deep tech company
  • Direct experience scaling a company through a startup growth phase (20 to 100+)
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit and close world class hardware engineers
  • Comfort operating across both corporate and manufacturing hiring environments
  • You have strong opinions about what great culture looks like and how to build it intentionally
Benefits & Perks
  • Global Fieldwork: Travel to fascinating deployment sites along oceanic ridges in locations like the Pacific Northwest, Hawaii, Iceland, Japan, New Zealand, and the Azores
  • Hands-on Experience: Participate in sea trials and deployment operations in partnership with leading oceanographic institutions
  • Cutting-edge Development: Work with technology that spans high-power electronics, marine systems, and clean energy
  • Impactful Work: Help solve one of the world's most pressing challenges
  • Competitive Compensation: Comprehensive salary and equity packages
  • Benefits: Vision, Dental, Health insurance coverage
  • Dive Certification: Company-sponsored recreational dive certification
