DIRECTOR OF NURSING (DON) Birch Healthcare Center

Birch Healthcare Center is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic nurse leader who is committed to clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, employee engagement, and delivering exceptional resident-centered care.

The Director of Nursing will provide strategic leadership for all nursing services while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, compassion, and continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Direct and oversee all nursing operations within the facility

  • Lead, mentor, and develop nursing managers and clinical staff

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

  • Promote quality resident care through evidence-based clinical practices

  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, recruitment, retention, and workforce development

  • Drive Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives

  • Maintain survey readiness and lead the facility through state and federal surveys

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize resident outcomes

  • Manage departmental budgets and ensure efficient utilization of resources

Qualifications:
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire

  • Previous Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
