Who are you?

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Director, Strategic Program Delivery to work alongside our North American Sector Leads to support our aspiration to transform asset operations across our Energy & Natural Resources Portfolio.

Job Description

As the Director of Project Management, you will be involved in:

  • A service/delivery leader, ensuring Turner & Townsend’s methods and standards are embedded across all commissions.
  • Support business development by leveraging deep technical expertise in Construction and Project Management to build trust and credibility.
  • Drive program assurance, quality control, and performance improvement across managed services.
  • Support growth campaigns by articulating our capabilities and value proposition in the marketplace
  • Mentor and develop teams to strengthen delivery capability and consistency.
  • Champion our digital tools enablers to enhance project controls and reporting.
  • Requires ability to shape service offerings from the ground up

Ideal Profile

  • Genuine, proven expertise with strong downstream experience in Energy & Natural Resources.
  • Background with major EPCs and operators to relate from both sides of the industry.
  • Highly personable, well-connected, and respected in the energy sector.
  • Skilled in program delivery, assurance, and team leadership, especially related to construction and project management teams.
  • Comfortable in a client-facing advisory role, with expectation to be a primary business developer.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or field related to construction. 
  • Graduate degree in construction management or engineering is preferred. 
  • 15+ years of relevant project and program management experience.
  • 2+ years managing high performing programs in a consulting environment. 
  • Knowledge of multiple project delivery methods   
  • Proven track record of leading programs  
  • Demonstrated experience providing leadership of a team in an integrated project delivery organization.   
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating multi-million-dollar contracts as part of a multi-billion-dollar program.   
  • Proven track record of following through on commitments.   
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering major capital programs successfully (on budget, on time, meeting safety and quality standards within approved scope)   
  • Proven track record of building consultative and collaborative partnerships. 
  • Demonstrates excellent presentation, verbal, written, organizational and communication skills.
