Program SummaryKBR will sustain the operational well-being of U.S. armed forces at Moron Air Base (Spain), Incirlik Air Base, Izmir Air Station, and various facilities in Turkey. Our services encompass program management, civil engineering, morale and recreation support, postal operations, safety services, logistics, and more. With a five-year base period and three one-year options, KBR ensures these bases operate smoothly, allowing deployed personnel to focus on mission execution.Job SummaryManages an assigned operational segment of Engineering by directing, developing, communicating, and implementing the company's direction and strategic goals. Contributes to business development and marketing internally to the company's employees as well as externally to the clients. Monitors and supports the pursuit of viable opportunities by supplying the resources and training necessary to assess, screen, and prioritize opportunities to optimize utilization of resources. Identifies market trends, applications for existing and new technologies, and communicates best practices throughout the company as assigned. Optimizes results for customers as well as the company by establishing goals and objectives for operations and making operational decisions. Contributes to the early development of strategy through the implementation and execution phases. Typically requires an undergraduate degree in a related technical field and 10-12 years' industry experience.Roles and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for study, design, specification and services of transportation systems (road, rail, airport, seaport), bridges, infrastructure, drainage, underground utilities, hydrology/hydraulics, water treatment and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, water resources and raw water supply, tunnels, geotechnical design, and other civil engineering works.
  • Under broad direction, supervises and leads a group of engineers.
  • Sets the technical standards and procedures of a group of engineers and designers.
  • Conducts various aspects of performance management such as performance appraisal or counseling of employees with behavior or technical performance problems and assists in the interviewing, hiring, and assignment of new personnel in the discipline.
  • Job role is responsible for a measurable asset such as an assigned staff and budget.
  • Shall have USAF installation- level working experience.
  • Shall have ten years (5 of the 10 years in supervision) experience in engineering design, construction, maintenance, repair, operation of major real property facilities, facilities programming and planning, and the formulation, coordination, and administration of civil engineering plans and programs.
Basic Qualifications
  • US Citizenship
  • U.S. Secret Clearance required.
  • Shall possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture from an ABET accredited college or university, or approved equivalent.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA).
  • Shall have DoD installation-level working experience.
  • Shall have eight years' experience (four of the eight years in supervision) in design, construction, inspection, and preparation of plans and specifications for major real property facilities.
  • Provide required training to maintain a proficient workforce and ensure compliance on CE related
  • inspections. Inspections shall include but are not limited to USAFE/AFIA Management Internal Control Tool Set.
  • (MICT) directed Self Inspections, Unit Effectiveness Inspection (UEI), Nuclear Surety Inspections (NSIs), Environmental Management System (EMS) Audits, internal self-inspections, and Staff Assistance Visits (SAVs).
  • Submit data for the preparation of annual USAFE Civil Engineering awards, Installation Excellence awards, and other award submission packages.
