Job Summary:
  • A leading manufacturing organization is seeking a Director of Engineering to oversee engineering strategy and execution across multiple facilities. This role is responsible for driving operational performance, optimizing asset reliability, and leading large-scale capital initiatives aligned with business growth objectives.
    The Director will partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Safety, and HR to implement engineering strategies that improve uptime, modernize infrastructure, and deliver measurable efficiency gains. This position oversees significant capital investment programs, with portfolio responsibility potentially exceeding $500M+.

Job Duties:
  • Lead multi-site engineering teams across maintenance, reliability, and capital project functions.
  • Develop and execute engineering strategies that improve operational performance and asset utilization.
  • Manage large-scale capital programs and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Analyze asset lifecycle data to optimize replacement timing and extend equipment longevity.
  • Establish engineering standards, processes, and best practices across facilities.
  • Build, coach, and develop high-performing technical teams.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support safety, quality, and production goals.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience with 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • Experience managing large capital portfolios (ideally $500M+).
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, maintenance strategy, and capital planning.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Willingness to travel 50–75% across multiple locations.
