Job description

McCabe Industrial Minerals is looking for a Director of Operations to help lead the next stage of growth across our mining and mineral-processing operations.

This position will work directly with the President and serve as a key operational leader across the company. The immediate focus will include helping design, build and commission new production capacity while also improving and expanding our existing plants to meet growing demand. The role will have significant responsibility for capital projects, plant performance, maintenance, personnel, safety, quality and long-term operational planning.

We’re looking for someone who understands how things work — mechanically, operationally and practically. An engineering background is preferred, and experience in aggregates, mining, mineral processing, manufacturing or heavy industrial operations would be particularly valuable. However, we are open to both an experienced industry professional and a younger engineer or operations leader with the ability and ambition to grow quickly into the position.

The Director of Operations will oversee plant managers and production personnel across multiple facilities, develop and improve preventive maintenance programs, identify opportunities to increase production and efficiency, and help manage construction, equipment installation and plant upgrades. The position will also work closely with vendors, contractors and equipment manufacturers and have responsibility for operational costs, safety programs, quality standards and environmental and regulatory compliance.

This is a hands-on leadership position. We need someone comfortable moving between planning a multimillion-dollar capital project and walking through a plant with an operator to figure out why a piece of equipment isn’t performing the way it should. Strong communication, judgment and problem-solving ability matter as much to us as a specific degree or number of years in the industry.

The position can be based in Tulsa or Oklahoma City and will require regular travel to company facilities and project sites.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $95,000–$115,000 annual salary
  • 100% company-paid health and dental insurance
  • Company vehicle
  • Profit-sharing program
  • Performance-based bonus incentives
