About the role: magniX is seeking a Director of Program Management to lead the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex aerospace programs from development through production and customer delivery. This role will provide strategic leadership across program planning, schedule execution, budget management, risk mitigation, customer communication, and cross-functional coordination. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep aerospace or advanced hardware program experience, strong business acumen, and a proven ability to drive teams toward on-time, on-budget, and high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Program Management function and provide direction, coaching, and performance support to program and project management team members.
  • Own end-to-end execution of key customer, product development, certification, production, and delivery programs.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, resource plans, and deliverables.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Business Development, and executive leadership to align program priorities and remove execution barriers.
  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate program risks related to schedule, cost, technical readiness, quality, production, suppliers, and customer commitments.
  • Establish program operating rhythms, reviews, reporting methods, and decision-making processes that improve visibility, accountability, and execution discipline.
  • Serve as a senior interface with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders on program status, deliverables, change management, and issue resolution.
  • Drive continuous improvement in program management tools, processes, metrics, and best practices to support company growth and product commercialization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, Program Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive program, project, product, or technical program management experience in aerospace, aviation, defense, advanced manufacturing, or complex hardware environments.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, including leading program managers or cross-functional technical teams.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex programs with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, technical performance, and customer commitments.
  • Strong understanding of product development, manufacturing readiness, supply chain dependencies, quality systems, configuration control, and risk management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • PMP, PgMP, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar program management certification.
  • Experience with aerospace certification, electric propulsion, battery systems, power electronics, aircraft systems, or highly regulated hardware products.
  • Experience scaling programs from prototype, development, or demonstration phase into production and customer delivery.
  • Experience implementing program management systems, dashboards, stage-gate processes, or portfolio governance practices.

Location: Applicants must be willing and able to commute to magniX's location in Everett, Washington.
