Position Overview

An established and respected electrical contractor is seeking a Director of Preconstruction to lead all aspects of preconstruction strategy and execution. This high-impact leadership role is responsible for guiding estimating operations, client engagement, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management to ensure projects are set up for success from concept through handoff.

The Director of Preconstruction serves as a trusted advisor to clients, architects, and engineers—delivering accurate, innovative, and cost-effective solutions while mentoring a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all preconstruction activities across multiple projects.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of estimators to ensure precision, consistency, and efficiency in deliverables.
  • Prepare, review, and manage project budgets, estimates, proposals, schedules, and value engineering initiatives.
  • Partner with business development and operations teams to support client acquisition and retention efforts.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the preconstruction phase, fostering trust and long-term relationships.
  • Identify and mitigate potential project risks; review contracts, insurance, and bonding requirements to ensure compliance.
