Job Description Washington Athletics has an outstanding opportunity for a Director of Softball Player Development & Innovation to join their team.
About this OpportunityReporting to the Head Softball Coach, the Director of Player Development & Innovation is a high‑impact, hybrid role responsible for elevating athlete performance, program development, and long‑term athlete pathways. This position integrates practice design, technical/tactical instruction, video and data operations, recruiting evaluation, storytelling, alumni engagement, and camp/clinic leadership. The role supports the coaching staff by creating clarity, efficiency, and innovation across all phases of the student‑athlete experience - from initial recruitment through graduation and beyond.
Key ResponsibilitiesTo be considered for this opportunity your application must demonstrate you meet both the minimum qualifications and additional qualifications listed below. Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants who do not meet these qualifications WILL NOT be forwarded to the Hiring Manager. Bachelor’s degree required and two years of experience in analytics, sport administration, softball, baseball, or related performance fields; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional QualificationsRequires frequent evening and weekend work. Requires travel for competitions. Work is performed in both office and athletic facility environments.
