The Position:

Under the direction of the Area Asphalt Plant Manager, the Asphalt Plant Manageris responsible for the day-to-day operations associated with asphalt plant supervision and asphalt production. In addition, will be directing and coordinating the activities related to the production of asphalt for internal asphalt customers and external customers.

  • Support daily operations across multiple asphalt plant facilities.

  • Promote safe work practices and assist with safety meetings, inspections, and compliance efforts.

  • Help review project requirements and support asphalt mix design and quality control processes.

  • Coordinate material testing and monitor results with guidance from technical services.

  • Assist with production scheduling, plant maintenance planning, and staffing coordination.

  • Help manage material supply needs to ensure timely and costeffective production.

  • Support budgeting, cost tracking, and invoice processing for plant operations.

  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training efforts for plant personnel.

  • Assist with securing necessary permits and coordinating general plant site maintenance.

  • Work with subcontractors and internal teams to support smooth plant operations.

  • Perform additional duties related to asphalt plant operations as needed.

Requirements:

  • Safetyfocused with a willingness to learn OSHA/MSHA requirements and company procedures.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Basic to intermediate computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.

  • Strong organizational and timemanagement abilities.

  • Ability to travel locally and regionally as needed.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Mining, Geology or a related field or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in the asphalt, construction materials, or related industry is helpful.

  • Familiarity with asphalt production operations, safety practices, or quality control is a plus.

  • Experience with HCSS HeavyJob, HeavyBid, AutoCAD, or similar tools is beneficial but not required.

  • Prior experience supporting production schedules or supervising teams is helpful.

  • Experience working with subcontractors is a plus.
