Restaurant Regional Director of Operations

As we experience tremendous growth, our leaders are the driving force to our continued success. We are seeking a positive and enthusiastic Regional Director of Operations who loves to serve!
Supporting the Midwest, reporting directly to the Regional Vice President, this position will be responsible for 3 - 6 markets. The Regional Director of Operations will be accountable for meeting profitability and operational performance goals while ensuring Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and system compliance in area Shacks. The Regional Director of Operations must be able to lead and develop people. You will work closely with marketing and recruiting to drive guest traffic and build internal talent pipelines to keep up with company growth. From working side-by-side with our leaders to managing audits, you will serve as a critical driver of all things operational!
Key Responsibilities
  • Develops strategic and operational plans for their market(s), sets the goals, leads the execution, measures the results, deploys the learnings, and identifies the operational opportunities of the Shacks, and leads the charge (with Home Office Support when needed) to discover solutions
  • Places and develops Area Directors to meet the growth and performance needs of the company and acts as a consultant to Area Directors and General Managers to analyze current business(es) and lays out plans for future improvement.
  • Maintains and strategizes management bench strength in preparation for successful growth and communicates and upholds expectations on deliverable information.
  • Leads the teams in ensuring compliance to safety, administrative, and legal procedures
  • Owns the operational Start-Up budget for new locations and manages the R&M budget by prioritizing resource needs.
  • Plans and coordinates roundtable discussions or conference calls within market(s) to ensure consistency in operational goals, messages, and regional initiatives. Ensures open communication and understanding between Home Office disciplines and operations.
  • Demonstrates intensity and conviction to address and find solutions for operational shortcomings.
