Job description

Director of Technology Operations

Job title: Director of Technology Operations

Reports to: Sr. Director of Operations Support

Location: United States (remote)

About our team
We are a dynamic, dedicated team that provides management and support for a global guarding services account that spans across 30+ countries. Our client is an industry-leading datacenter organization, and we pride ourselves on delivering best-in-class solutions through our teams made up of Security Operations, Business Operations, Human Resources, Training, Threat and Incident Management, and Environmental Health and Safety. As part of this team, you’ll be part of our leadership team and work alongside a group of professionals that are committed to excellence and innovation.

About the role
This is a director-level role for a technical program leader who can take large-scale, innovative technology initiatives from concept to global deployment. You will work with cross-functional leaders and teams to support the deployment strategy and execution model for technology-enabled programs across a global datacenter security environment, bringing rigor to planning, implementation, adoption, and operational handoff.

This role is for someone who can sit comfortably with senior business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and client stakeholders - and translate between all of them to create efficient, effective, and innovative technology solutions. You understand that successful deployment is not just about shipping technology; it is about readiness, governance, process integration, change adoption, and sustained value realization. You will lead a matrixed cross-functional team that drives deployment discipline and sound technology rigor across a portfolio of complex initiatives, ensuring new technologies are delivered in a way that is scalable, supportable, and operationally sound.

What you’ll do
In this role, you will lead end-to-end technology deployment programs across multiple regions, stakeholders, and workstreams. You will define the delivery model for implementation from planning and risk management through pilot execution, scaled rollout, adoption, and transition to steady-state operations. You will create the governance, deployment of playbooks, dependency management, and escalation paths required to deliver with consistency across a global footprint.

You will partner with technical teams, operations leaders, analytics partners, procurement, vendors, and client stakeholders to drive execution against agreed outcomes. You will ensure each deployment has clear success
criteria, business readiness checkpoints, deployment support mechanisms, and post-launch stabilization plans. You will surface risks early, drive resolution with urgency, and maintain executive visibility into progress, tradeoffs, and critical decisions.

This role will initially operate as an individual contributor and will not have direct reports. As the technical function matures and business needs evolve in the organization, the role may build and lead a team of senior-level technical program managers and/or software engineering experts. The Director will establish the standards, operating model, and repeatable deployment capability needed to scale the function, setting a high bar for planning quality, issue management, communication discipline, and execution excellence.

What you need to apply
We’re looking for a technical program leader with a bachelor’s degree in business engineering, information systems, business, or a related field, along with 10+ years of experience leading large-scale technical or operational deployment programs, including 3–5+ years in a director-level leadership role. You should have a strong track record of leading enterprise implementations that involve cross-functional coordination, third-party vendors, technical integration, process redesign, and global rollout complexity.

The ideal candidate combines technical fluency with operational judgment. You should know how to structure deployment programs, manage risk and dependencies, drive adoption, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience with implementation of governance, change management, systems integration, field deployment, and executive review processes is essential.

You should have demonstrated success in leading teams, influencing senior stakeholders, and building repeatable delivery mechanisms for complex technical programs. Experience in security technology, Copilot Agentic 365 integration, MS Fabric, datacenter environments, automation, or enterprise platform deployment is strongly preferred.
This position involves domestic and international travel (approximately 30% of the time), so a passion for travel (and a valid passport) is essential. This role will also require flexibility to work nights and weekends (when needed) to support global staffing issues, high-priority events, and off-hours incidents.
All applicants to this role must have reliable means of communication, reliable means of transportation (public or private) to get to/from work, the legal right to work in the country where the position is located, and the ability to speak, read and write in English proficiently.

What you’ll get
We believe great work deserves great rewards—and we’re committed to staying competitive. This role offers a base salary of $175,000 to $225,000. That range is based on the Greater Seattle Area and may flex depending on your experience and location. We’ve got you covered with medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with life insurance, parental leave, and paid time off.

The extra stuff
This position requires—with or without reasonable accommodation—the physical and mental ability to perform all essential job functions effectively. This includes maintaining composure under pressure while interacting with clients,
authorities, executives, and staff; working independently without direct supervision; and managing multiple tasks simultaneously. The role involves regular use of a computer and keyboard, frequent lifting or moving of items up to 10 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity for both near and far distances, as well as the ability to adjust focus, is required. The position may involve handling sensitive or confidential information and requires flexibility in scheduling to meet operational demands.
