Area Director of Business Development

The Area Director of Business Development leads a team of sales professionals to drive growth, manage key accounts, and build strategic partnerships. This role is responsible for coaching and developing team members, executing market growth strategies, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure exceptional service delivery and positive customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team using the Willowbrook Hospice Sales Model.

  • Provide ongoing feedback, training, and mentorship to strengthen sales skills and performance.

  • Conduct regular sales meetings that address market trends, team development needs, and educational opportunities.

  • Support onboarding and continued development of sales liaisons.

  • Foster a positive, growth-oriented culture that promotes engagement and retention.

Business Growth & Relationship Management

  • Manage and grow a book of business.

  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales goals and market growth objectives.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, post-acute providers, assisted living communities, and other key referral sources.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and professional partners to ensure positive customer experiences and outcomes.
