Job description

The Director of Installation is the strategic integrator of every system we bring to life. Leading a global network of internal teams and specialized subcontractors, this role ensures our Integrated Solutions installations move from blueprint to reality with precision, safety, and execution.
From mechanical assembly to electrical commissioning, the Director of Installation sets the cadence-aligning people, processes, and performance to deliver seamless customer experiences. This leader builds the playbook for how installations happen across the world, shaping the standards, documentation, and operational rigor that ensure every project is executed the right way, every time.
Duravant Integrated Solutions is focused on providing solutions to both integrator and end-user customers. Integration Services leverages the products from our Duravant family of companies, which includes automated equipment for food processing, packaging, and material handling along with products and services from strategic equipment partners.
What you will have:
  • Business System
    • Develop and Manage the standard operating procedures including Installation Standards, Safety Standards, Permitting Submittal documentation requirements, Quality Standards and Reporting methods related to the installation of systems.
    • Develop Quality driven feedback procedure to manufacturing, system engineering, and other resources as required to achieve best of class implementation of Duravant systems.
    • Direct and manage the use of our staff assignment and reporting tool for the Installation team including managing the project installation financial budget.
    • Direct and manage the use of our Connected Worker software to prepare installation, commissioning and training material.
  • Management
    • Develop internal quoting tool set for installation costs as well as quote packages for subcontractors that include a transmittal letter, drawings, equipment list, customer criteria, scope of work, general overview, and the schedule for the project.
    • Prepare and/or review installation quotes for projects and track as incurred costs to estimated costs.
    • Responsible for assisting Project Manager & Site Managers with issues specifically related to the installation and subcontractors.
    • Ensure all local, state and national installation regulations are followed by sub-contractors or internal installation/technicians, including permitting, licensing, and bonds.
    • Responsible for mitigation of subcontractor change orders and assists Project Manager with the preparation of changes.
    • Attend weekly project review meetings, track financials, and contact and update the sub-contractors on a weekly basis.
    • Responsible for coordinating and monitoring completion of equipment site acceptance and reporting readiness of segments for commissioning via signed installation documents.
    • Directs the ordering of all consumables not provided by sub-contractors.
    • Attend post project meetings to recommend design or concept changes if problems arose during the installation process.

  • Reporting
    • Responsible for coordinating and monitoring completion of equipment site acceptance and reporting readiness of segments for commissioning via signed installation documents
    • Prepares Subcontractor evaluation forms with input from site Managers and others.
    • Forecasting monthly installation costs and updating the installation manpower requirements.

  • Compliance
    • Maintaining an adequate system of internal controls and segregation of duties.
    • Preparing and maintaining a documented system for installation procedures and safety requirements.
    • Informing and training of installation personnel of their responsibilities, emphasizing necessity for following policies and procedures.
    • Preparing and maintaining needed forms, such as installation check list, site punch list performance, quality assessment.

What you will need:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years working in installation, service, or engineering of Material Handling Equipment systems.
  • Ability to travel domestically approx. 25%.
