Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking a Director of Corporate Accounting. This pivotal role will oversee our corporate accounting functions and financial consolidation processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial management for our organization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the corporate accounting function and financial consolidation processes, including the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, including oversight of the preparation and maintenance of account reconciliations

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements and annual budgeting and forecasting processes

  • Manage all corporate (non-operational) accounting processes, including multi-entity consolidations and intercompany transactions

  • Develop, implement and document accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain financial integrity and compliance. Assist with the research and documentation of new accounting pronouncements and technical memos.

  • Work with our IT function to ensure our ERP systems (Infor SyteLine ERP) are managed and maintained appropriately, oversee the implementation and optimization of financial reporting and consolidation systems.

  • Collaborate with senior management to provide strategic financial insights and support decision-making processes

  • Manage relationships with finance and treasury, operations and external auditors

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA certification required

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, with a focus on corporate accounting, consolidations and reporting

  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP, with a strong understanding of financial reporting requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices in financial management

  • Proven track record in managing and developing high-performing accounting teams

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members

  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to align financial objectives with overall business goals.

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively interacting with all levels of management

  • Ability to research and document technical accounting matters and transactions
