Join our team at Holiday Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center as a Director of Nursing.

Full-time, (Monday - Friday, 9:00AM -5:00PM)

Range: $135,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually

Guided by our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence, the Director of Nursing provides clinical leadership, direction, and oversight to ensure the delivery of person-centered care that honors the dignity and well-being of every resident.

Responsibilities for Director of Nursing:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive staffing plan that reflects the department's clinical needs and supports safe, high-quality resident care.

  • Conduct regular rounds to monitor, evaluate, and enhance the quality of nursing care delivered throughout the facility.

  • Build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with residents, family members, staff, and the interdisciplinary medical team.

  • Partner closely with the Administrator to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care that aligns with organizational goals and resident needs.

  • Develop, implement, manage, and evaluate departmental policies and procedures in accordance with current federal, state, and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to nursing staff to promote professional growth, teamwork, and clinical excellence.

  • Oversee quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives to ensure continuous enhancement of nursing services.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and clinical standards governing nursing care facilities.

Qualifications for Director of Nursing:

  • Must possess a current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Rhode Island.

  • A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital, nursing care center, or other related healthcare setting required.

  • Experience in supervision, leadership, and staff development required.

  • Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, staff, and external agencies.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare regulations, and standards applicable to long-term care settings.
