Job description

Director Of Imaging Services

The Director of Imaging Services reports directly to the Vice President of Patient Care Services and is responsible for the clinical and administrative management of Radiology Services in collaboration with the Medical Director. The Director has overall responsibility for the operational, quality, human resource, and financial management of Imaging Services to include the inpatient and outpatient departments. The Director coordinates the services through leadership and collaboration with colleagues throughout the Medical Center.

Education / Training / Experience

Minimum :

  • Ten years managerial experience in a leadership role (at least five of which are in healthcare)
  • Master’s degree in radiology, business administration, health care administration, hospital administration or related field.
  • Strong knowledge and experience relevant to Imaging Services.

Desired :

  • Five years managerial experience in a hospital setting
  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Membership in a professional organization and attendance at conferences regarding management and supervision of employees.
  • Experience in a complex medical center environment
Licenses / Certifications

Minimum :

  • Current license issued by ARRT
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Must demonstrate leadership ability. Must have knowledge of regulatory requirements to include JCAHO standards, Title 22 regulations, and Medicare Conditions of Participation. Must have knowledge of and a demonstrated ability in financial management and reporting, quality improvement processes, and human resource management. Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Must have the ability to motivate, delegate, analyze information and problem solve. Must demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence and effectively use critical thinking to problem solve. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
