Department: Non-Gaming Operations (Manufacturing, Agriculture, Retail, Cannabis)

Are you a visionary leader with a strong operations background and a passion for driving success across diverse business sectors? Cayuga Nation Enterprises is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Non-Gaming Operations to oversee our fast-growing portfolio, including manufacturing, agriculture, retail, and cannabis operations.

This high-impact role is based in Seneca Falls and Union Springs, NY, and reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

What You’ll Do

As the Director of Non-Gaming Operations, you will be responsible for the strategic and day-to-day oversight of our key non-gaming enterprises. Your leadership will be essential in guiding location managers, streamlining operations, ensuring compliance, and promoting sustainable growth across all divisions.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and mentoring managers across retail, agriculture, manufacturing, and cannabis operations
  • Overseeing budgets, staffing, inventory, compliance, and productivity for each enterprise
  • Developing short- and long-term operational strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Ensuring adherence to Cayuga Nation policies and state/federal regulations
  • Identifying new growth opportunities and operational efficiencies
  • Collaborating directly with the CEO to provide regular performance updates and strategic input
  • Implementing performance benchmarks and holding teams accountable for meeting KPIs
  • Representing the Nation’s interests professionally in all business dealings
  • Promoting a culture of integrity, transparency, and excellence across all non-gaming operations

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this leadership position, you should have:

  • A minimum of 7 years of multi-site management or operations leadership experience
  • Proven experience in at least two or more of the following industries: retail, agriculture, manufacturing, or cannabis
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with experience managing large budgets and teams
  • Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills
  • A commitment to ethical practices, community development, and the mission of the Cayuga Nation
  • Excellent communication and decision-making abilities
  • The ability to travel between sites in Seneca Falls and Union Springs regularly
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Experience working with Native American enterprises or tribal government a plus
