DescriptionThe Director of Deposit Forecasting is responsible for the leadership and execution of deposit forecasting activities across all deposit products and segments for the enterprise. This role oversees the coordination of deposit forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational deposit priorities, liquidity and funding strategy, and balance sheet objectives. The Director leads a team and serves as a working manager, establishing forecasting standards and delivering insights to FP&A, segment leaders, and executive leadership to inform decision-making. This role requires strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across forecasting processes.Business Segment and Partner EngagementThis role operates as a strategic enterprise finance leader, connecting deposit forecasting to segment strategy, balance sheet priorities, growth objectives, liquidity planning, and executive decision-making. The Director partners with Commercial and CRB segment deposit and finance leaders, and senior finance stakeholders to shape a forward-looking view of deposit performance that reflects customer behavior, market conditions, rate strategy, business growth plans, and risk appetite. Through this engagement, the role creates alignment between business strategy and financial outlook, enabling leaders to understand trade-offs, anticipate emerging risks, and make informed decisions on balance growth, pricing, funding mix, and profitability.
  • Acts as a senior thought partner to Commercial leaders by translating relationship, vertical, and client-level insights into enterprise deposit assumptions that inform balance sheet strategy and financial planning.
  • Shapes cross-segment views of deposit performance across CRB, regional banking, business banking, wealth, consumer, and other business lines by connecting customer growth, retention, runoff, seasonality, pricing, and product strategy to forecast outcomes.
  • Influences deposit product and pricing strategy by providing forward-looking analytics on rate sensitivity, customer migration, promotional activity, funding mix, and expected balance behavior across core deposit products.
  • Leads executive-level forecast routines that align stakeholders on the strategic narrative, key assumptions, risks, opportunities, and management actions needed to deliver enterprise deposit and profitability objectives.
  • Establishes a disciplined engagement process that creates clear ownership for segment inputs, strengthens accountability for forecast drivers, and improves transparency into the decisions and assumptions shaping the enterprise outlook.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee enterprise deposit forecasting, including annual and long-range forecasting, budgeting inputs, and strategic planning integration.
  • Develop and maintain advanced forecasting tools to analyze deposit trends, customer behavior, and interest rate sensitivity.
  • Lead integration and analysis of deposit data across business segments to ensure consistency and transparency.
  • Provide variance analysis and insights to explain forecast vs. actual performance and key drivers of deposit changes.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level materials summarizing deposit trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Partner with Treasury, Finance, Risk, and business leaders to align on assumptions and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to Commercial, CRB, and deposit product/pricing partners by connecting business strategy, client behavior, rate actions, and segment-level growth plans to enterprise deposit forecasts and balance sheet priorities.
  • Support enterprise planning processes including budgeting, stress testing, and strategic planning.
  • Establish and govern forecasting processes, tools, and data standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement, including automation and enhancements to forecasting capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory expectations and internal governance standards.
  • Attract, develop, and manage a team of finance and analytics professionals.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Mathematics
  • Minimum 7 years progressive leadership experience within FP&A, Treasury, or financial forecasting roles
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree
  • 10 or more years of progressive experience within FP&A, Treasury, or financial forecasting roles.
  • Subject matter expertise in deposit analytics, balance sheet management, or deposit pricing and product management preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, modeling, and data interpretation skills.

Compensation Range:

$125000-$255000 Annual Salary

The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
