This is a full-time position. The Housekeeping Supervisor leads daily housekeeping operations and ensuring all guest rooms and public areas meet the Inn at Bay Harbor's high standards of cleanliness presentation, and readiness. This role, under the general supervision of the Housekeeping Manager, will be responsible for leading team performance, enforcing standards, and ensuring rooms are completed on time to support an exceptional guest experience.
This role sets the standard for professionalism, urgency, and attention to detail within the housekeeping team
This is a full-time morning shift.
Responsibilities
• Lead and direct housekeeping associates to achieve daily operational goals
• Inspect guest rooms, stayovers, and public areas to ensure strict adherence to cleanliness and quality standards
• Set daily priorities and manage workflow, including early arrivals, VIPs, and special requests
• Maintain accurate, real-time communication with Front Desk and leadership regarding room status and guest requests
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
• Hold team members accountable for productivity, quality, and adherence to standards while fostering a respectful and team-oriented work environment

• Train, coach, and develop team members by providing clear, constructive feedback and addressing performance concerns with empathy, respect, and accountability
• Assist with cleaning rooms as needed to meet operational demands
• Ensure carts, linens, and supplies are properly stocked and maintained
• Identify and report maintenance, safety, or security concerns
• Enforce compliance with safety, cleanliness, and appearance standards
• Oversee proper handling of lost and found items in accordance with property policy and procedures
Qualifications
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• 1-3 years of housekeeping experience, prior leadership experience strongly preferred
• Proven ability to lead, direct, motivate, and hold a team accountable
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
• Effective communication and decision-making skills
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards (OSHA) preferred
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for extended periods
• Capable of performing physically demanding tasks as needed
• Fast-paced, high-standard hospitality environment
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and standard housekeeping materials
