Director of Finance

Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership (INHP) – Indianapolis, IN

Join a mission-driven organization dedicated to strengthening communities through affordable housing and financial empowerment. INHP is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Finance to lead our financial operations and help drive sustainable growth and impact.

The Opportunity

As Director of Finance, you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of the organization. Reporting to the CFO, you’ll oversee financial planning, reporting, compliance, and treasury functions while serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and the Board.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and reporting
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and investment activities to support lending and program initiatives
  • Prepare and present financial reports and insights to leadership, Board members, and external stakeholders
  • Oversee audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting (including federal grants and industry requirements)
  • Guide financial strategy for real estate and lending activities, including complex project analysis
  • Ensure strong internal controls, policy compliance, and financial record integrity
  • Supervise and develop a high-performing finance team
  • Partner cross-functionally to evaluate major investments, programs, and organizational decisions

What Skills you will need to Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; advanced degree or CPA/CFA/MBA preferred
