Job Summary
The Director of Operational Analytics reports to the Chief Analytics Officer (CAO) and serves as a strategic leader within the IT Data Analytics team. This role bridges the gap between data science and business operations by driving data-informed decisions across the university.
The Director is responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining the data infrastructure - including data lakes and warehouses - to support enterprise business intelligence. By leveraging advanced data analytics, this role empowers leadership with actionable insights to optimize business strategy and performance.
Responsibilities
  • Architect and deliver comprehensive analytics reports and datasets that enable university leadership to execute data-driven strategies
  • Apply advanced problem-solving and creative thinking to adapt emerging technologies to meet evolving customer and institutional needs
  • Lead and mentor a team in the creation and deployment of robust analytical solutions
  • Innovate new methodologies for leveraging business data to enhance decision-making processes across departments
  • Identify patterns and trends within enterprise data to provide actionable insights into operational efficiency and performance
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, non-technical narratives for stakeholders to facilitate organizational alignment
  • Design, develop, and manage scalable data pipelines for the seamless ingestion and transformation of diverse structured and unstructured data sources
