Hi-Altitude Brands is seeking an exceptional Creative Director (art/design) to lead the creative function for our flagship brand, Stonehenge Health, and future brands under the Hi-Altitude portfolio of health-forward lifestyle brands. Through science-backed, thoughtfully formulated products, Stonehenge Health supports elevated wellness routines that help people feel their best, so they can fully enjoy life's meaningful moments. This is a CMO direct report with a focused mandate: own creative quality and consistency across all channels, balancing brand-building with measurable performance outcomes. Hi-Altitude has built a successful DTC business through disciplined performance marketing. The Creative Director leads the centralized creative function that serves brand awareness, paid acquisition, lifecycle, and on-site conversion, ensuring every asset advances both brand equity and revenue performance.

Requirements

Creative Strategy and Direction

Translate the CMO's brand strategy and positioning into actionable creative direction across all channels

Set visual direction for brand, performance, and web environments

Balance brand-building (long-term equity) with performance-driven outcomes (immediate conversion)

Develop creative testing frameworks that drive measurable performance across paid, lifecycle, and on-site

Operate as the senior creative voice within the marketing organization

Brand and Visual Identity

Own and maintain the Stonehenge Health brand identity across all customer-facing touchpoints

Develop and enforce style guides, visual standards, and brand guidelines

Ensure creative consistency across paid media, organic social, email, packaging, and website

Partner with the CCO on joint approval gates for brand-facing creative

Partner with the VP of Brand on visual direction for organic content and influencer creative

Performance Creative

Oversee the Performance Design Manager and team in producing high-volume ad and lifecycle creative

Maintain testing cadence and iteration cycles informed by performance data

Ensure performance creative meets channel-specific KPIs while protecting brand consistency

Partner with the VP of Performance Marketing and the Director of Lifecycle on creative needs and feedback loops

Web and E-commerce Design

Oversee the design team in producing landing pages, PDPs, site UX, and conversion-focused work

Partner with the Head of CRO on the on-site testing roadmap and design execution

Partner with the Head of Ecommerce on site merchandising and storefront design

Creative Operations

Oversee the Creative Operations Manager in owning end-to-end pre and post production for photo and video assets

Build SLA frameworks and intake processes for creative requests across all channels

Manage creative team capacity against demand from brand, performance, and ecommerce

Scale internal video and post-production capacity to reduce reliance on external partners

Oversee the medical and expert advisory board program for content credibility, brand placements, and earned media opportunities

Team Leadership

Lead a creative team of approximately 8-10 across brand, performance, web, and operations sub-functions

Direct reports span the Senior Creative Lead, Performance Design Manager, Creative Operations Manager, and design Independent Contributors (ICs) across Brand/Core and

Web/E-commerce sub-teams

Hire and onboard additional creative team members as the function scales

Establish performance standards, KPIs, and development plans

Foster a culture of creative excellence, rigorous thinking, and high-output iteration

Cross-Functional Partnership

Report to the CMO and operate as the centralized creative authority across all channels

Partner with Copy Director, Director of Product Marketing, Consumer Insights Lead, VP of Brand, and Head of Content on the cross-functional work that drives creative performance

Partner with VP of Performance Marketing, Director of Lifecycle, Head of CRO, and Head of Ecommerce on creative supporting growth and conversion

Coordinate with CCO on joint approval of brand-facing creative

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years in creative leadership at DTC consumer brands, with 5+ years at Director or above
  • Built and led centralized creative teams of 8+ across multiple sub-functions (brand, performance, web)
  • Deep expertise in both brand-building and performance creative, with a portfolio that demonstrates both
  • Hands-on experience with performance creative across Meta, TikTok, Google, YouTube, native, and email/SMS
  • Strong understanding of testing and iteration cycles in DR and performance environments
  • Proven ability to ship high-volume creative output without sacrificing quality
  • Experience partnering with performance marketing, CRO, and ecommerce functions in high-velocity environment
  • Health, wellness, beauty, or consumables industry experience preferred
  • Fluent across the standard creative tooling stack (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma) and DTC platforms (Klaviyo, Shopify, or comparable)
  • Remote-first mindset with ability to lead distributed teams effectively; located within driving distance of Los Angeles, CA, preferred
