Regional Director of Business Development - Tennessee

Total Extended Care Services (TECS) is a physician-led Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation organization providing high-quality rehabilitation services to patients in post-acute care settings. We are seeking an experienced Regional Director of Business Development to join our growing team and lead business development efforts across Tennessee.

This is an ideal opportunity for a healthcare business development professional who understands the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment, has experience working with therapy or other clinical teams, and is comfortable building relationships, developing partnerships, and presenting to small groups.

Position Overview

The Regional Director of Business Development will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, strengthening relationships with healthcare partners, and supporting the growth of TECS throughout Tennessee.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the post-acute healthcare environment and the ability to communicate effectively with administrators, clinical leaders, physicians, therapy teams, and other healthcare professionals.

Candidates should reside in Middle or East Tennessee and be willing to travel throughout Tennessee, with occasional out-of-state travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute regional business development strategies to expand TECS's presence in the post-acute healthcare market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with SNF administrators, clinical leadership, therapy teams, physicians, and other healthcare partners.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop referral and partnership relationships.
  • Conduct facility visits, networking activities, community outreach, and business development meetings.
  • Present TECS services and value proposition to small groups, healthcare professionals, and facility leadership.
  • Represent TECS at meetings, conferences, networking events, and industry functions.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational leadership to support successful partnerships and client relationships.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, referral opportunities, and regional growth opportunities.
  • Track business development activities, leads, partnerships, and results.
  • Provide regular updates and reports regarding regional business development efforts and performance.
  • Travel regularly throughout Tennessee and occasionally outside the state.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or post-acute care setting.
  • Healthcare experience in therapy, rehabilitation, or another comparable clinical environment is required.
  • Experience in healthcare business development, sales, outreach, marketing, account management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the post-acute healthcare environment and the needs of SNFs.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with healthcare organizations and decision-makers.
  • Strong communication, presentation, networking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable speaking and presenting in front of small groups.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout Tennessee regularly, with occasional out-of-state travel.
  • Must reside in Middle or East Tennessee.

  • 5-8+ years of healthcare business development experience.
