Smartsheet is hiring a Director of Industry Analyst Relations to lead our global analyst relations program, nurture and strengthen analyst relationships, deliver exceptional support for research, and lead and inspire a team. AR is a strategic and highly visible function at Smartsheet, and we're looking for an experienced leader ready to build on our strong foundation and drive continued success. You must have a proven track record of leading an AR function, delivering leading positions in major research, and building relationships with analysts, executive teams, product strategy and marketing leaders. Smartsheet is a high growth and diverse business that requires us to engage with and influence analysts in existing and emerging markets - this requires a creative and innovative approach to AR. You will report to the VP, Global Corporate Communications.This role will support West coast hours and can be based remotely or in our offices in Bellevue, WA.
You will:
  • Lead execution of Smartsheet's global analyst relations strategy to bolster go-to-market strategies and support key business and product initiatives.
  • Help develop Smartsheet's analyst-facing story to influence mindshare based on Smartsheet's vision, strategy, and key competitive differentiators.
  • Partner across Smartsheet teams at all levels of the organization to tell, support and deliver narrative that ties together technology trends, roadmap planning, multiple use cases and markets.
  • Drive strategy and execution of analyst engagements - inquiries/briefings, advisory days, event sponsorships, analyst roadshows, etc.
  • Own measurement and business reviews of the AR program's impact. Provide regular reports to Smartsheet leadership on analyst engagement and results.
  • Collaborate with product, sales and marketing teams to drive the creation, promotion and enablement of analyst relations content.
  • Refine processes and workflows to continuously improve day-to-day analyst relations operations.
  • Manage analyst contracts and relationships.
  • Support other duties as assigned.

You have:
  • 10-15+ years of experience in analyst relations at a technology company, preferably with SaaS experience.
  • Understanding of key enterprise technologies and how the ecosystem of technologies is transforming the world.
  • Proven track record of positioning technology companies as leaders in major analyst research.
  • Consistent success leading and executing analyst relations programs and building collaborative relationships with influential analysts, executive leadership, and cross-functional partners.
  • Proficiency leveraging AI-enabled tools to enhance daily productivity, streamline workflows, and improve the quality and efficiency of analyst relations operations.
  • Experience with assessing and implementing a strategy and program and backing up recommendations for rationale and data.
  • Executive presence and interpersonal skills, including the ability to persuade and motivate at every level of the organization and with analyst stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an outstanding ability to translate technology features into business outcomes.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to develop compelling narratives grounded in data and facts.
  • Strong project management and relationship management skills.
  • Strong mentoring and leadership skills to build and encourage a high performing and highly motivated team.
  • Relationship driven - experience building successful senior level relationships, internal and external.
  • Ambition, drive and commitment to great results; including a constant desire to evolve the AR program and to understand and develop best practices.

Smartsheet provides a competitive base salary range for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive incentive opportunity.
US Base Salary Pay Range
$175,000-$230,000 USD
