Labor & Employment AssociateAmLaw 100 OpportunityA nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate to join its growing Philadelphia office.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in working on sophisticated traditional labor matters for management-side clients while building a long-term practice within a highly respected national Labor & Employment platform.
The Role• Traditional labor law matters
• Labor arbitrations and grievance proceedings
• Collective bargaining negotiations
• Union avoidance counseling and strategy
• Prosecuting and defending unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB)
• Labor relations counseling for employers
• Direct client interaction and substantive responsibility
• Collaboration with a nationally recognized Labor & Employment team
Ideal Background• Approximately 2–5 years of labor and employment experience
• Experience with traditional labor law matters strongly preferred
• Experience serving as first or second chair in labor arbitrations is a plus
• Experience with collective bargaining, union avoidance, and NLRB proceedings preferred
• Experience litigating wage and hour class and collective actions is a plus
• Experience representing employers in matters involving unionized workforces is highly desirable
• Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Strong academic credentials
• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school required
• Active Pennsylvania bar admission required or ability to waive in
