Labor & Employment AssociateAmLaw 100 Opportunity

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate to join its growing Philadelphia office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in working on sophisticated traditional labor matters for management-side clients while building a long-term practice within a highly respected national Labor & Employment platform.

The Role

Traditional labor law matters
Labor arbitrations and grievance proceedings
Collective bargaining negotiations
Union avoidance counseling and strategy
Prosecuting and defending unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB)
Labor relations counseling for employers
Direct client interaction and substantive responsibility
• Collaboration with a nationally recognized Labor & Employment team

Ideal Background

• Approximately 2–5 years of labor and employment experience
• Experience with traditional labor law matters strongly preferred
• Experience serving as first or second chair in labor arbitrations is a plus
• Experience with collective bargaining, union avoidance, and NLRB proceedings preferred
• Experience litigating wage and hour class and collective actions is a plus
• Experience representing employers in matters involving unionized workforces is highly desirable
• Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Strong academic credentials
Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school required
Active Pennsylvania bar admission required or ability to waive in
